SQL Compact Agent and Synchronization Services: possible with sqlcesa? RRS feed

  • Question

  • We are trying to port an SQL Compact/RDA/SQL Express remote application to Sync Services. Works nice over port 1433 or whatever replacement of it, but in the end our remote users can only use port HTML 80/443.

Is it really necessary to write complex logic like in SqlExpressClientSyncProvider, or would it be possible to use the out-of-the box http://localhost/sync/sqlcesa35.dll to connect?
