Mirror of the 'whole' PC and Restore it RRS feed

I have a task to mirror PC running Windows 7 Enterprise. I mean not only system files or data but the 'whole' PC. We need to do it only once after we setup PC, installed all applications and etc.

We assume that in case of disaster like 'blue screen' or other type of crash that we can't fix it we should be able just open that 'image' and have our PC back in the state is was mirrored.

    My questions:

    1. Could I use option 'Create a system image' from 'Control Panel' or it will not mirror everything? In case 'native' feature will not work which tool you'd suggest to use? Maybe Acronis or etc.?

    2. I'm planning to keep that 'mirror' somewhere on external drive. In case my PC will be 'completely' crashed or etc ... how could I restore it from Backup? Could I use usb or etc to start opening the mirror?
