OCS 2007 Standard Edition RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

Can I install OSC 2007 Standard Edition to use a SQL Server 2005 sp2 Standard edition back end instead of the SQL Express version.  I currently have a production SQL Server back end and do not want to support a SQL Server Express version also.

All assistance will be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks in advance,

  • I don't believe there is a way to do this as the setup process automatically deploys SQL Express.  You can simply deploy a single Enterprise server instead of the Standard server in your scenario and assign the additional pool IP address to the front-end server's interface as to not require a hardware load balancer for only a single node.
