Performance Issue in UI Automation - slow... RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

    We are a group using the UI Automation and we have noticed the following performance issue:

    1.   When writing a provider and raising an event, for example:

    AutomationInteropProvider.RaiseAutomationEvent(InvokePattern.InvokedEvent, itemProvider, args);

    It works great but is raised only after few minutes.

    2.   When performing the same raise event but on a dialog window (simply additional form in an application) it takes even longer, up to 10 minutes till the event is raised.

    Is this the way it should work? Perhaps we are missing something?

    Please assist.

  • You should probably try to find a forum closer to your problem domain. Maybe windowsforms.general if there is not one specifically for UI Automation

  • Hi,

    The question relating to UI Automation is beyond the scope of this forum.

    I'm moving the: where is the forum for... forum, the experts there will direct you to the right place for the question.

    Thanks,

    Harry
