RSLINX OPC read Data Array RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi everyone,

I have a question about how to setup communication between RSLINX OPC and VB2010.

Currently, I already can read the single tag value from OPC TEST CLIENT using VB2010, right now I am trying to read the value of array from OPC TEST CLIENT through VB2010.  I tried several ways, still get nothing.

Is there any one have ideas about this? or have code examples?

    Any help will be appreciate!

    Thank you!

    Cici

  • I'm sorry but we cannot support 3rd party products here.  While you may get lucky and stumble across someone else who's done this, please do not expect a resolution from this forum.

I think your best bet would be to visit the Rockwell Automation support site and ask there http://www.rockwellautomation.com/rockwellautomation/support/overview.page.

If you are a paid user of RSLINX Enterprise you can probably get one-on-one instruction by phone.

  • EDIT:

If you give URL/detail of sample code/documentation/your current code - something so people will know what this acronym is maybe someone will take extra effort to help.

Imagine if I ask "I need help with connecting to ABCDEF the first thing is working but the second one is not linking with the ZYXWV help" and I ask in a vb forum, nobody has a clue what is ABCDEF need to provide a entrance to that ABCDEF information/documentation sample code something

  • Thanks for your reply, I already contacted with Rockwell Automation, but they do not have any example or solution for VB2010.

Google search for "RSLINX OPC vb.net"

Without having an RSLINX OPC or whatever it is or experience with one using vb.net how would anybody have any ideas about it or code for it?
