Windows Update keeps offering me the same Security Updates RRS feed

    Windows Update keeps offering me the same Security Update time after time although I have downloaded and installed the same update successfully. When I look at the date the date is always the same app. two weeks ago.

    I have tried telling Windows Update to Check fore any new updates today but it still offers me the update i have previously installed successfully. How do I fix this problem please???   Thank you

    Anyway, if the proposed updates are successfully installed you can safely ignore them; you could even run the System Update Readiness Tool (downloadable from http://support.microsoft.com/kb/947821/en-us, only if you have Windows Vista or Windows 7) to fix any inconsistency in the Windows Update catalog or reset the Windows Update components following the instructions that you can find in the Microsoft Knowledge Base article 971058.
