Searching activities in CRM 2013 only searches subject line? RRS feed

  • When I search activities in CRM 2013, it only searches the subject line (the beginning portion of the subject line).

    Even searching within the subject line is difficult as it cannot find things like "test activity" if you search for 'activity'. It only searches in the subject in order. So if you enter in test, you will find the above text but if you search "activity" you will come up with nothing.

    Has anyone else encountered this issue before? How do you resolve?

  • That definitely works but it is painfully slow. It is so slow that it is not really viable unless there is a problem with our database/server.

    The regular searching is fast and takes 1-2 seconds per search. The searching by using *activity takes maybe a minute if not longer.
