Win 7 wont back up on WHS PP3

Question
-
I had issues getting the WHS client to install on both Vista 64 32 bit and Win 7 x64. I found that issue to be a virus I thought I resolved on the WHS a couple of months ago. So a reinstall of the WHS OS was the solution.
OK after the rebuild of the tombstones, and updating all the windows updates available, I did the http://<yourHomeServerName>:55000 and installed the connector on my desktops. ALL worked perfectly. Not a glitch one.
Now I thought all was good. Then I tried to do an initial backup of my Win 7 box. This is when I found that even though I can get network notifications and I can log into and control my WHS, neither a manual or automated (scheduled) backup will run. It says a backup is starting and I get the process bar and %. But it stays at 0% until it finally times out.
My Vista Ultimate machine (with the new client loaded the same way) backs up just fine.
I have tried the troubleshooter and it says as the tests run that there is 1 error. But when the report page comes up, all it says is "Windows Home Server Connector troubleshooting article" I have downloaded this artice and tried all the diags it says and I get all the correct responces from the WHS.
I have logged this on the connect site and been able to provide them with the cab # from the server, but the WIN7 box doesn't give me a cab # when I follow the directions. I get the prompt to send the logs to MS, but no cab #.
Any help is appreciated.

May need to do a "chkdsk /r /f" on your drives and/or a backup database repairFriday, December 4, 2009 9:33 PM

I have opened an artical on the WHS side on the connect site ID #515355

Did you try Evaders99's suggestion?

I have tried that. I did seem to get resolution to the issue. It was the 100 MB system partition that was causing the issue. I had to blow it away and make my "C" drive bootable to get my backups to work. All is good now. Next time I load a win 7 machine, I will make sure there is an active partition on the HDD before the install so WIN 7 wont create the 100 MB partition and I wont have this issue. I will post more details soon for others to be able to resolve this same issue.
