    Office Status: 103 Blocked VLK
Microsoft Office Enterprise 2007 - 103 Blocked VLK
Microsoft Office Professional 2007 - 101 Not Activated

You have two versions of Office installed:

Microsoft Office Enterprise 2007: It was installed using a Volume License Key.  The owner of the key reported the key lost or stolen and Microsoft blocked it from further use.

Microsoft Office Professional 2007:  Because of the Not Activated error, I am unable to see if that Office is validating as Genuine or not.

I recommend uninstalling the Office Enterprise 2007, reboot and then Activate the Office Professional 2007. Once done, you can either re-run the Diagnostic Report or go to http://microsoft.com/genuine and click the Validate Office button to find if the Office Professional 2007 is Genuine.

    Thank you,
    Darin MS

  • Thank you so much. As you recommended , I uninstalled the new software - then I uninstalled the Enterprise version completely - afterwards I re-installed the newly bought Office Professional, and ran the diagnostics/validation progs from Microsoft.  Hey presto -  everything now hunky dorey!!!! Both Windows Vista and Office are genuine - according to the messages received, thanking me for using genuine software!  The Windows Vista issue I had sorted - it originally came pre-installed on my PC from Dell - all I had to do was change the product key to the that on the label on the PC tower.  However, I thought I had better validate Windows a second time - just to be sure!

    Thanks for your help again.

  • Hello Janeyathome,

Looks perfect---a retail license installation of Office Professional 2007. :-)

    Enjoy!

PS--If you have the full retail license for Office Pro 2007, the licensing terms allow you to install it on a second computer owned by you, so you can have the same license on, say, a desktop and a laptop at the same time.

  • Hello, can you help?
Why am I still getting notifications saying that my software will be marked as not genuine in 8 days time? I un-installed the Enterprise Volume Key version BEFORE I installed the newly-purchased copy of Office Pro 2007 and, as you know, ran the diagnostics which came up as genuine.  Dan also looked at the new report which he requested and agreed I have a retail license (which came with 2 copies allowing me to install it on a second computer).  So, what do I need to do to stop the nofications coming through?  Help, please. • Hello janeyathome,

You've made lots of progress! :-)

You were able to uninstall the nongenuine Office Enterprise 2007, and you were able to activate your genuine retail license for Office Professional 2007.

Now all we have to do is a little clean-up of the remnants of the nongenuine Office Enterprise 2007, and we'll be done.

Try the first step, and if you continue to see the nongenuine notices when you start an Office program, move on to the second step.

First step:  Open an Office program and when you see the nongenuine notice, look for the "Learn More Online" link.  Click on the link to go to a Microsoft web page.  Part of what happens in the background while you go to this page is that the OGA Notification Utility is re-checking the Genuine status of your Office.  Once the page loads, close Internet Explorer, restart the computer and then once more, open an Office program.  If the recheck worked, then you should no longer see nongenuine notices.

If you are still seeing nongenuine notices, proceed to the second step below.

Second step:  Click on this link http://support.microsoft.com/kb/919895/ to go to a Microsoft Knowledgebase page.  Scroll down the page until you see the "FixIt" in Method 3.  Click on the FixIt icon to download and run the FixIt.  Once it completes, restart the computer and open an Office program.  If you are asked to Activate Office, please do so.  After activation completes, visit www.micosoft.com/genuine and click on the Validate Office button.  Office should Validate normally.  Next, open an Office program and you should no longer receive nongenuine notices.

Finally, run Windows Updates from your computer to get your Genuine retail installation of Office Professional 2007 up-to-date.

Let us know how you do! :-)

  • Hello Dan,

Fingers crossed!  Everything "appears OK" now - no more messages about software not being genuine, so I assume the re-check worked.  The automatic updates came through OK as well.  So hopefully, this is the end of my issues with Office.  Thanks for all your help.

    Regards
