CRM 2013 - Opportunity Product vs. Quote Product and Order Product screen design difference RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi All,

We have just upgraded our CRM 4.0 server to CRM 2011 and then to CRM 2013.

We have observed very strange designing issue which I am not sure whether is a bug or what?

In CRM 2013, opportunity product page design is same as other forms for CRM 2013 like no popup and radio buttons are displaying like dropdowns. But if we open Quote Product or Sales Order product screen, its behaviour is same as in CRM 2011. New popup screen is opening and in that radio buttons are available.

So is this by design in CRM 2013 or is a some bug which Microsoft will fix in next rollup or is there any settings available for this?

  • Hi Ravi,

You are able to see these differences because quote product and sales order product still use classical forms, but opportunity product not, with the release of 2013 we have some updated entities where we will have new form experience but there still some entities which will continue using classical forms. Please refer this for more details

  • Thanks Mahendar.

In our case we are using Quote Products and Salesorder Products as frequent as Opportunity Products.

Do you have any reference that whether Microsoft is planning to move other entities also in such forms?
