    good morning,

I used live care for just about a year now and the renew sign was coming up. I reinstall windows xp and bought a new retail version of livecare for 59.00 dollars and it was suppose to be a newer version of livecare. I install livecare and it did not ask for the new serial number. Now live care is tell ing me I still only have a few days left. How to I fix this. There is no phone contact and I might get burn for 59.00 dollars. I getting sick of the difficult problems in relation to this. Who can I call to fix this?

  • If you reinstalled OneCare and then activated with the same LiveID as an existing subscription, it inherits the subscription status. You didn't need to reinstall, but simply renew with the retail key.

Go to http://billing.microsoft.com and sign in with your subscription LiveID. (Open OneCare and click help/about to view the subscription LiveID)

Select the OneCare subscription and click on the renew link.

Choose the option to renew with a prepaid PIN or token which is the retail product key.

Enter the 25 character key and proceed.

It can take up to 24 hours for the subscription status to be updated in OneCare.
