One Care Renewal Offer RRS feed

  • Question

  • Web site renewal of subscription states current subscribers who will expire betweer now (when is now?) and October 2009 will receive a 6 month extension to their subscription at no additional cost.  Since mine just renewed, did I get the extension??  I can't find my expiration date anywhere.  If you didn't give me the extra 6 months, how can I get those months?  I responded in a "comment" on the One Care site before my subscription expired, but never got a reply.  Don't think I want to post my Product number on this forum.  What can I do???

  • Go to https://billing.microsoft.com and sign in with your subscription LiveID to see the status of your subscription, including the renewal history and the current expiration date. The "now" began in the middle of May, 2009. The extension should happen automatically. If you were charged for renewal, please contact support.

  • I've been to billing -- this is what I get --

    No billing accounts

This Windows Live ID does not currently have a billing relationship with Microsoft. MSN offers a variety of services that you may subscribe to. For more information, go to http://get.msn.com/.

And I have tried support within One Care and get nowhere -- very frustrating!

You are the only person I've connected with and replied - thank you!!

Now what do I try??  Is there a phone # so I can speak with an actual person??  Assume you can't check my subscription without my password or product #.

Appreciate any additional help you can give me.

  • Hi, Linda. You're welcome.
Open OneCare and click Help/About to see the subscription ID. That's the LiveID you need to sign into the Billing site with. If you are reaching a page that says no Billing account, then you might be signing in with a wrong LiveID.

  • If you still can't see your subscription information -

Unofficial path - send me an email at sboots@mvps.org with a subject line including "OneCare" (to get past my spam filtering) and in the message body, tell me what country you are in, your forum nickname, and paste this link:

    http://social.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/onecaregeneral/thread/326bb903-c7a7-4ec0-81f8-048a3213fb30#ff361656-aa2f-428f-97bd-68bae13b482b

I am not online 24x7, so you may be waiting for a reply, but I'll do my best to hook you up with support.

If you don't get an email response from me wthin 24 hours, post back as my email provider is getting more aggressive with the spam filtering.
