  Hi, I am also having the same problem. Very frustrating.

  Microsoft has a deft touch at making what should be easy, impossible.

  I am having a issue Mr fix it. I keep getting the error message of "your connection is not working, time out try again later" I am on cable and always connected. Please help if you could put it in basic language, i would greatly appreciate it. Thanks

  Hi lgstro,

  Thanks for you interesting in Microsoft Fix it Center(Beta).

  Please check if you have a proxy for you internet. If you don't have a proxy, please set it according the below steps:

  1. Launch Internet Explorer, click Tools-->Internet Options.

  2. In the Connections tab, click LAN settings, then set the proxy which can access the Internet.

  3. Try to run the troubleshooter again.

  Any suggestions of proxies to use? Or just pluck one out of the sky? Yeh, that sounds good, I'll just put in something random.
