    how do I find the unwanted add ons that don't show up in the add & remove program...

    If you want to remove one or more add-ons that are not listed in the Control Panel's applet for software removal, select "Manage add-ons" from the "Tools" menu in Internet Explorer, click the add-on you want to remove, click "More information" in the lower pane of the "Manage Add-ons" window and click the "Remove" button.
