First of all you need to know why the workflow is in a Waiting state. There are 2 main reasons for this:
- It has met a Wait condition. If you expect the Wait condition will be met in the future, then you should leave the workflow. If, however, you know that the condition will never be met, then you can cancel and delete it
- An error in a step. You should see an error message which will give more information. If you can resolve the error, then normally you can Resume the workflow, but if you can't resolve the error, then again cancel and delete the workflow
