    what database this forums is using to store all the threads?

    we are indeed using Microsoft SQL Server.  we're only in the 100's of thousand of rows though; for a really neat scaling overview see http://skyserver.sdss.org/edr/en/sdss/skyserver/.

    As of right now, Sql 2005. We'll be moving to Sql 2008 by our next release.
