License validation failure - (second revalidation request within two weeks) RRS feed

  • Question

  • My windows has for the second time claimed to have "Unauthorized changes" made that require revalidation. Aside from downclocking (to stock speed) then replacing the CPU cooler and re-overclocking, the hardware on this machine has been unchanged since the beginning of last year, where I did revalidate on account of a major hardware upgrade.

It is a custom built PC, but I have a full retail copy of windows.

Firstly, is there a list of software (Virus scanners, hardware monitors etc.) that is known to interfere with WGA?

Secondly, I revalidated windows, but I would like to know if the rearm count will continue to be decremented as I am about to repeat the same downclocking then re-overclocking in order to replace the thermal compound.

My validation data from the WGA diagnostic tool is pasted below.

    Many thanks in advance,

  • I don't know why your OS has become deactivated. Sometimes with flaky hardware or rogue applications/malware activation can break.

Try reactivating. By phone if neccesary and if activation should fail again start a no cost support incident at the following address
