Can't install!!!! RRS feed

  • I bought Age of the Empires III and everytime I try to install it comes out with

    "Error 1335, the cabinet file "disk 1cab' required for this installation is currupt and cannot be used. this could indicate a network error and error reading from cd rom, or a poblemwith this package"

    what in the world does this mean????? Im so frustrated, i've tried installing a million times!!!!!!!

    any help would be soooooooo appreciated.

    Error 1335: The Cabinet file required for this installation is corrupt and cannot be used

     Technote (FAQ)
     
    Problem
    This technote outlines the known workarounds to resolve the problem Error 1335. The Cabinet file......during extraction, or setup of a release area. Generally this occurs during the unpacking procedure (download only), or performing the release area implementation of the product (CDROM/Download). encountered when installing IBM® Rational® products.
     
    Cause
    There are variations of the error listed below. This is not an all-inclusive list of variations, other “CAB” files may also be reported in this error.

    Error 1335: The Cabinet file '_BPZAOLV.CAB' required for this installation is corrupt and cannot be used. This could indicate a network error, an error reading from the CDROM, or a problem with this package.


    Error 1335:
    The Cabinet file 'CCTOOL~1.cab' required for this installation is corrupt and cannot be used. This could indicate a network error, an error reading from the CDROM, or a problem with this package.


    Note:
    Upon aborting the installation, "Internal Error 2350" may appear as a pop-up error message. If this error does appear it may be ignored.

     
    Solution
    Prerequisite: Anti-virus software must be is disabled, including their services. Please refer to the vendors user guide for the proper procedure to temporarily disable such monitoring.

    Installation performed from a CD-ROM:

    WORKAROUND 1:
    1. Eject the CD-ROM from the drive.
    2. Clean it and then return it to the CD-ROM.
    3. Next click the retry button on the error message box.


    WORKAROUND 2:
    1. Eject CDROM2 from the CDROM drive.
    2. Put CDROM1 in the CDROM drive and click the retry button.
    3. Next you will get an error message box with an error code 1313 and stating that it is not the correct CDROM.
    4. Eject CDROM1 and put CDROM2 back in.
    5. Click the Retry button in the message box.
