Roll up 16 installation issue MSD CRM 2011

  Hi

  If you want to upgrade it to CRM 2013 anyways, it will be fine if you do it. But yes, remove rollup 16 for other components. All components should be on same rollup

  Upgrade is supported with Rollup 15 as well.

  Hi Vinay,

  I've resolved this issue :-

  why this issue occurs 

  In my case when I try to install Roll up 16, it asking server.msi but it is not in Roll up set up files. when I read log files its point out one of CRM aspx page, which was customized. When installer try make changes/update it found item was dirty then it try to reinstall the file for this it required server.msi.

  This server.msi file present in CRM ISO/DVD (as suggested above). when we map this file from particular media then it install required files once again alter it install Roll up update. You can check these changes after installation (I did).

  Hi,

  That's really Awesome,

  Even i tried this, the roll up is asking for the Server.msi. i agree with you, we need to point Server.msi file need from the CRM media (DVD).

  I am using CRM setup file which i have downloaded form MS for (Server.msi) with this not working.

  Here for me require the same media (DVD) which i used to install the server, thing is i lost the CRM Media DVD :-(
