Password policy setting?

Question
-
My kids have a computer with an account called "Kids" with no password.
I can see in the help reference to a password policy with choices between Normal, Simple and Complex. However I cannot find this setting in the Server Console.

You can work around this by creating the user manually in users/groups, add it to the windows home server users group and you can manage it in the hs console.Saturday, March 10, 2007 10:34 PM

I take it that that means the RC aswell ?
As I can set the password strength in settings, but the user password field will only accept strong passwords
Thanks

Thanks for that,
I just figured it out - so that would mean that when you set up a user - they keep the password policy forever as that user and any new users get the policy at the time
Thanks again

If you enable remote access for a user account, that user will need to have a strong password irrespective of the policy, for security reasons.Monday, June 18, 2007 3:12 AMModerator
