CRM 2011 On Premise: Process cannot be activated or deactivated by someone who is not its owner - Strange RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I am working on a CRM 2011 on-premise system. I have a workflow which was created by user 'X' and then I re-assigned it to an user 'Y'. Now I added the workflow to a solution and imported from LIVE organisation to TEST organisation. Weirdly enough I got the below error.

"Process cannot be activated or deactivated by someone who is not its owner"

Note: I am logged in as the user 'Y'

Could you advise me what is it I am missing please?

    Many Thanks,

    Arjun

  • Is the workflow owned by user Y in both organisations ? If it's owned by user X in Dev, then I would expect this error, as the workflow would have to be deactivated as part of the import

  • May be you can delete the workflow from the dev org before importing it from the Live.
