Accessing On-Premise CRM in different Location RRS feed

  • HI all,

             We are in the process of developing our internal projects.We have users in different location all are in same domain.

             We want to users are should access crm through their windows authentication.

             How to do this.

  • If they are on the same network they should be able to hit the server as normal.  Are the physical locations connected by network since you say they are on the same domain?  Otherwise there are a couple options.

    1. VPN will work fine.

    2. IFD (Internet Facing Deployment) is the only other method if VPN is not an option, but technically uses forms authentication but is mixed with your windows auth too.  They would instead just type their username and password into a web form.  The username and password would be the same as with windows but they would never have to use the domain\user syntax, just username.  IFD instructions are linked below

  • Hi,

    Is below method will work.

    create alias name on DNS to access crm.

                   For an eg: If we are having CRM Server in A location, If User in B location want to access CRM then we have create a alias name for B location in DNS Server and pointed it towards the CRM Server in A location.
