Windows 7 ultimate Validation RRS feed

  • Question

  • I also bought Windows 7 Ultimate back in Oct 2010 which has been running perfect with all updates etc, Until yesterday that is 3 Feb 2011 ! Now my screen goes black with the nasty little message in the right hand corner reminding me that it is not a genuine copy!! Obviously Iv'e been ripped off like many others who bought on line. But WHY have Microsoft waited 3 months to tell me ?? had they let me know earlier I would have at least had a chance to get my money back! Microsoft should accept some responsibility for their late actions, after all the product I bought looked genuine it was sealed and I had no way of telling if it was fake or not genuine especially when it initially passed all of the Microsoft validation tests and worked fine for the 3 months

  • Hello kbert,

It could be that you were scammed or it could simple be a programmatic problem with Windows that can be fixed. But to be able to answer any questions about your Windows, we will need to see a Diagnostic Report.

to generate a Diagnostic Report, download and run the Genuine Diagnostics tool (MGADiag.exe) at this link http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=52012 . Click "Continue", click the "Copy" button then “Paste” the report into a reply message in this thread.
