remove someone else's document from Recent folder in OneDrive

  Some years ago a document (an excel chart) appeared in my 'Recent' folder in OneDrive (part of my hotmail/outlook account).

  The location of the document shows someone else's OneDrive account (e.g. 'John Smith's OneDrive').
  

  I do not know the person whose document appears in my list of Recent documents.
  

  When I tried clicking on Remove to get rid of the document it doesn't work and the document stays in my Recent list of documents.
  

  I tried previously to get help from MIcrosoft but couldn't get the document removed.
  

  Can anyone help? I would love to remove this document from my OneDrive. It's a little weird that a document from someone I don't know has appeared in my list of Recent documents.
  

  The document doesn't seem to appear elsewhere (e.g. in Files).
