Question

I'm currently having the constant reminder to download MS Genuine Advantage, I currently have XP SP3 Profesional and Office 2003 Profesional both validate on the MS website but I also continue to get this nagging nuisance. How do I fix this? Copy and pasted validationi info below:

Hello BrianKBury,
Here is a snippet of your mgadiag report:
OGA Data-->
Office Status: 100 Genuine
Microsoft Office Professional Edition 2003 - 100 Genuine
OGA Version: Registered, 2.0.48.0
Signed By: Microsoft
Office Diagnostics: 025D1FF3-230-1_E2AD56EA-765-d003_E2AD56EA-766-0_E2AD56EA-134-80004005
Your mgadiag report is showing a genuine retail license installation of Office Professional 2003, and that your Dell computer has its Dell OEM SLP license for XP Pro, so no worries there.
The report is showing that you do not have the OGA Notifier installed:
OGA Notifications Data-->
Cached Result: N/A, hr = 0x80070002
Version: N/A, hr = 0x80070002
OGAExec.exe Signed By: N/A, hr = 0x80070002
OGAAddin.dll Signed By: N/A, hr = 0x80070002
It also shows that you have a slightly older version of the WGA Notifier:
WGA Notifications Data-->
Cached Result: 0
File Exists: Yes
Version: 1.9.40.0
WgaTray.exe Signed By: Microsoft
WgaLogon.dll Signed By: Microsoft
It is my understanding that version 1.9.42.0 is the latest version.
The WGA/OGA programs are delivered by Windows Update, so any issues you have with delivery and installation are handled by the usual Windows Update troubleshooting methods. http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/ph/6527#tab0
If you do not want to install a WGA/OGA update that has been downloaded, just follow the steps to install it until you get to the EULA/SLT (End User Licensing Agreement/Software Licensing Terms). Decline the terms, and the update will not be installed and you will not be asked about it again, until the next version of that particular update is released. WGA/OGA updates are released generally on a quarterly basis if not less frequently.
