Exporting SSRS CRM Reports RRS feed

    In CRM 2011 there is the advanced find feature which allows you to export results to a dynamic worksheet . This allows you to update a record in CRM and refresh the worksheet and get the updated data.

    This option does not appear to be available when exporting a report (SSRS) in CRM. Just wanted to confirm this was the case why.

    Exporting from CRM with the option to re-import is a feature of the application - reporting is built around SQL Server Reporting Services which can be applied to a more broad range of products and solutions. As such it doesn't have the same tight integration to CRM as a native feature.

    More specifically - the Connection object isn't created when saving to Excel from the report viewer like it is when doing it from CRM so the option to refresh wouldn't be wired up properly.
