What's the main difference between "ad hoc mode" and "client mode"?

    Question

  • I use two sora devices. One acts as a WLAN AP and the other acts as a WLAN user.

What mode should I choose? What's the difference between them?

Answers

  • The 'WLAN user' should use 'client mode', and it can communicate with a commercial access point (normally a Wi-Fi router).

Currently there is no implementation in Sora sample code for a 'WLAN AP'.

For the difference between 2 modes, 'ad hoc' mode needs no access point, but 'client' mode need.
