Alarm Volume on WM6 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Please, in the next update of WM can it be made possible to set the volume of the alarm clock independantly of the volume for other messages and notifications.  Currently I have to have the volume set reasonably high so that the alarm will wake me at the desired time in the morning. However this then means that I am disturbed every time an email, SMS or other event occurs ( all at the high alarm volume ). I leave the sync on at all times firstly because its a pain to have to turn it off and remember to turn it back on again and secondly because if I am called at night in relation to any support issues the caller will often have sent the details by email and I would need to pick this up quickly and not have to wait to re-enable mail sync and then manually sync the messages.

  • BTW, there is a 3rd party program called pTravelAlarm for Windows Mobile (http://www.burroak.on.ca/pta.html) which has as one of it features the ability to have 10 alarms AND each alarm may have its own individual volume control

I concure . It's great having such a popular OS like Windows on my device, and it opens the door for developers. But the fact remains, the integration with Alarming is ridiculously flawed. It's hard to imagine that anyone at Microsoft with a smartphone actually wakes up on time... if they depend on their smartphone alarm.

Please release a Tweak or Fix for WM5/6 to override the volumes for alarm settings. PLEASE!

  • It is a good suggestion TP-S!  I hope that the developers will put this item on their list of things to do!
