  • Hello tadepalli hema,

    Right now, your Compaq Presario computer has a Volume Licensing (VL) edition of XP Pro installed (Line 10), and that installation was done with an invalid Volume Licensing Key (VLK) (Line 2).  This VLK was generated by a pirating program known as a Key Generator program---this VLK was never issued by Microsoft therefore it is Invalid.

    As a rule, VL editions of XP should not be sold to individual consumers.  Businesses, schools and gov'ts normally use VL editions for flexibility in installing many computers.

    This is why you were seeing the "software counterfeiting" messages on your computer, because the current installation of XP is an unauthorized installation.

    Your Compaq Presario computer most likely shipped from Compaq (HP) with a licensed installaton of Windows.  Please look on the computer for a Certificate of Authenticity (CoA), which if present will show the version and edition of Windows that is licensed to run on the computer.

    The solution is to back up or otherwise offload and safeguard your data, and then use the Compaq-supplied recovery solution to put the licensed Windows back onto your computer.  See the computer documentation or information on the Compaq/HP support site for how to use the supplied Recovery solution.  If you do not have the Recovery CD or Recovery Partition that probably came with the computer, please contact Compaq's tech support or customer service to inquire how to purchase a set of discs for you exact model of Compaq.

    See the How to Order Recovery Discs link at the support page for you exact model here:  http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/product?product=3443409&lc=en&cc=us&dlc=en&lang=en&cc=us

    If Compaq cannot assist you, perhaps this third-party site might have what you need:  http://www.restoredisks.com

    Your computer also has a problem with the installed Office 2007 Enterprise.  Refer to this section of the report:
    OGA Data-->
    Office Status: 103 Blocked VLK
    Microsoft Office Enterprise 2007 - 103 Blocked VLK

    This shows that your installation of Office 2007 Enterprise is a Volume Licensing edition installed with a Blocked Product Key.  This means that the Product Key used to install Office on your computer belongs to another organization or business, and in cooperation with the rightful owner, Microsoft has blocked any further use.  If this comes as a surprise to you, please return to the place of purchase and demand that you be given genuine software or a refund.  In any case, you should uninstall the nongenuine Office suite from your computer.  If you purchased Office 2007 Enterprise thinking it was a legitimate retail product, you may want to have a look at the Office Genuine offer FAQ here:  http://www.microsoft.com/genuine/office/OGAKitInformation.aspx?displaylang=en

    Let us know how you make out....
