How to find the right training class RRS feed

  • Question

  • Does anyone have any good tips for locating a good training class/company? Just got back from a class on scom that we located using the microsoft.com/learning page and it was horrible. One of the main problems we had was that the VM's used for the class didn't work and the training company simply said "we have to download those from Microsoft. Sometimes they work, sometimes they don't. Microsoft doesn't let us do anything about that unless you want to pay us an additional $5000". The other part, which we are going to look at closer, was our text books. We had to pay $300 for books which consisted of a printed out power point that wasn't even correct and has the watermark "for evaluation only, not to be distributed or used for commercial purposes". We are trying to keep from being burned again on training.

  • Depending upon where you live (US or elsewhere), there are some providers that have good reputations and others that don't.  One way to check is through a simple search, or checking RipOffReport.com.
