    This may seem like a stupid question but none the less - I am starting a virtual bookkeeping business. Is it possible to initiate check printing on my home computer to print on a customer's printer? Several different customers, at different times of course? Any advice is appreciated.

    Using Windows Live OneCare's Printer Sharing feature (OneCare is the topic of this forum), no this is not possible.
    I suspect you are not using Windows Live OneCare, so you are off topic here. Basically, there are solutions available, but most will require some configuration changes at the remote location to allow you to access their network and print to their printer via VPN connection, via Remote Desktop, or similar.
