Paul,
Yes, another repair of Office 2010 resolved the issue again. And now it seems more stable : this morning my SharePoint OpenDocument Class add-ons were still here.

Hi there,
Do you have Microsoft SharePoint Foundation support feature installed for office on that machine?
Thanks

Hi Paul,
Microsoft SharePoint Foundation support feature has been installed because my reports worked fine in Excel for several weeks.
How can I check that Microsoft SharePoint Foundation is still there?
Thanks

Hi there,
On the client machine for office 2010, access the control panel > Programs and features > select Sffice 2010 > click Change > Add or remove features > scroll down to Office Tools and check that the Microsoft SharePoint Foundation Support is enabled.
Thanks

Are you using the 32 bit version of Internet Explorer?
Thanks

I'm using the IE which comes with Windows Server 2008 R2 64 bit, so I think that it is 64 bit too.Friday, June 29, 2012 4:06 PM

Disappointement!
I'm working on a test environment installed on a laptop. So this morning I restarted the machine and... I get the same error : A Microsoft SharePoint Foundation compatible application could not be found...
And I check: in the Manage Add-ons page of IE, the SharePoint OpenDocument Class add-ons are gone...
How can we keep these settings stable?
Thanks for any idea.

If you do another repair of office 2010, does this resolve the issue again?
Thanks
Paul
