One Care and Windows 7

Question

I just ran the Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor and it told me ti UNINSTALL WLOC before upgrading? It also said that the current version of WLOC is NOT supported by Win7? My question is this - my subscription to WLOC runs through 1/2010. What do I need to do in install Win7 correctly with my current subscription to WLOC?

One Care cannot be installed on Windows 7 and must be uninstalled before upgrading. A free antimalware application called Microsoft Security Essentials should be available for download around the release date of Windows 7.

Your subscription is still active, but if you are using Windows 7, go get the new, free Microsoft Security Essentials - http://www.microsoft.com/security_essentials/
It does not have the extra features of OneCare, but it is the replacement for the antivirus/antispyware protection of OneCare.
