ProgID for SSDT for VS2017 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi

    I have installed only SSDT for Visual Studio2017. When I tried to launch this programmatically as below.

    System.Type type = System.Type.GetTypeFromProgID("VisualStudio.DTE.15.0", true);
    Object obj = System.Activator.CreateInstance(type, true);

    But the instance is not getting created and in registry I could not see this id.
    Can somebody tell me what is the actual ProgID for SSDT for Visual Studio 2017?

    Thanks,
    Anitha

  • Hi AnithaJ,

    Thank you for posting here.

    Since this thread is more related to SSDT , I will move it to SSDT forum for suitable support.

    https://social.msdn.microsoft.com/forums/sqlserver/en-us/home?forum=ssdt&filter=alltypes&sort=firstpostdesc

    The Visual C# forum discuss and ask questions about the C# programming language, IDE, libraries, samples, and tools.

    Best regards,

    Jack J Jun.
