crm 2011 why email 'from' field is disabled? RRS feed

  •  Hello,

    A user under certain security role group was trying to send a mail, and found the 'from' field is read only, and not allow him to change to different user. But it's OK when log in as system admin.

    So it must be some setting on security role. I changed all email related setting to enable in security role. it still comes without lucky.

    Do anyone know what's the setting we need to change?

  • An easy way out in this kind of situation is to copy an existing role that you know works fine and then add/remove the entity privileges for the new role.

  • I know system admin works, but I don't think it's a good practice to copy system admin's role.

  • Did you try using the other OOB security roles?

  • Fix this issue my self. Under this specific security role, under business management tab, set user append and append to enable.
