Office Genuine Advantage Notifications (KB949810) won't install on legal MS Office RRS feed

  • Question

  • I keep getting this annoying message that the update won't install. I have searched the web and tried various "fixes" including ones from MS but it is still the same. I either want it to install or to be able to remove it. I am very much in favour of eliminating pirate software and that is why I think WGA and OGA are good things but I feel as though I am being penalised with this annoying message. Lastly since this message started appearing everytime I switch off it tells me that there has been updates and I should switch off. When I do this it always tells me that it has installed 1 of 1 but then when it re-boots the OGA problem is still there so it obviously hasn't installed and update. I am using MS XP SP3 and Office 2007 (may be I should be using Open Office). Anybody out there have any ideas
    Tony
