  • OK... talk to the people in Microsoft ... they even give me a new key and still not work... same message coming out..... They think is some corrupt on the OS file cause that ... and the only way to do is to do a system recover.... which I also agreed.....

    So after I talk to them I do a chkdsk  and it freeze on the stage 4 around 13%.... I restart the system and use toshiba HD utilities to test and find out the HD Fail......

    Finally find the real reason.... spend almost 3 days.... so surprise...this problem is related to HD Fail....

  • More Detail ... is a Toshiba DV6000 Notebook with Vista Home Prem have Sp2 already

    The very last error I get is after use phone activation they give me a set of confirmation ID...and when I enter all

    It give me "The Certificate ID you entered does not appear to match the installation ID"

    and I double check so many time even talk on the phone and double verify with another person.. still not solve?

    Help please?

    I suspect that your Licensing store is corrupted - please try the following..
     
    Please try the below steps to recreate the Store files.  This may resolve the issue.
     
    1) Open an Internet Browser window.
    2) Type: %windir%\system32 into the browser address bar.
    3) Find the file CMD.exe
    4) Right-Click on CMD.exe and select 'Run as Administrator'
    5) Type: net stop slsvc  (it may ask you if you are sure, select yes)
    6) Type: cd %windir%\ServiceProfiles\NetworkService\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\SoftwareLicensing
    7) Type: rename tokens.dat tokens.bar
    8) Type: cd %windir%\system32
    9) Type: net start slsvc
    10) Type: cscript slmgr.vbs -rilc (It may take a long time for this to complete, please be patient)
    11) Restart your computer twice.
    12) You may be required to enter the Product Key and/or Activate.
     
     
    Once complete, please post back with a new MGADiag report

    OK, it seems as if you have some kind of permissions problem - or you ran MGADiag in a standard User account, rather than an Admin account.
    Try the following:-
    Click on Start
    in the Search box, type
    SLUI 3
    wait until the system finds the only results, then right-click on the result, and select Run as Administrator.
    Accept the UAC prompt, and then see what happens.
    post back with the exact message you get, and a new MGADiag report.

    That appears to have corrected the error I saw in the earlier report
    You now need to activate by phone.
    To activate by phone:-
    To Activate by Phone, Click the Start button, and type:
    slui 4
    in the Search box and then hit the "Enter" key.
     This will bring up the Activate by Phone dialog window.
    Follow the steps provided by the window.
     
    If normal phone activation fails, redial the number, and this time do NOT respond when the ansafone asks which service you require - this should force an operator to pick up who can deal with your problem.

  • OK... talk to the people in Microsoft ... they even give me a new key and still not work... same message coming out..... They think is some corrupt on the OS file cause that ... and the only way to do is to do a system recover.... which I also agreed.....

    So after I talk to them I do a chkdsk  and it freeze on the stage 4 around 13%.... I restart the system and use toshiba HD utilities to test and find out the HD Fail......

    Finally find the real reason.... spend almost 3 days.... so surprise...this problem is related to HD Fail....

     

    Any way Thanks for all you help..
