Cannot foward domain to the other website which is hosted in Godaddy.com RRS feed

  • Question

  • We have built a website www.abctest.com using godaddy website builder and also hosted in godaddy.com. The website is okay after published.

Then we have a local domain www.abc.com.hk and want to forward this domain to www.abctest.com

The hosted company of www.abc.com.hk added the dns record as below.
    like: www.abc.com.hk     canonical name = www.abctest.com

When we open www.abc.com.hk website, it will display as below.

    "File not found (404 error)
If you think what you're looking for should be here, please contact the site owner."

    It won't redirect to / open www.abctest.com

I've asked the hosted company of www.abc.com.hk that they reply their setup is correct.

Do I need to setup something in godaddy.com?  Please advise.

  • Ok, well then it seems like it is an issue for the ISP to solve.

  • Hi,

Sorry it's not IIS. And the local domain is hosted by ISP.  Just see if any one has similar case.

    Thanks.
