Whitepaper Uploading error.... RRS feed

    whenever i try uploading a whitepaper,it says:"Please upload either (.pdf or .doc) files".

    even though they are .doc and .pdf files and well below 1mb limit....

    right from the start of SR,i have been getting this error,though i've got points,my articles never got updated ever.....so could u'll people tell me whats the problem exactly?

    absolutely thers no prob lem wid Firefox, bcoz i am using it since the first SRS contest...could ther was some prob in the server at the time when u uploaded...y don u try uploading ur whitepaper now in Firefox...
    But as u hav said that u got points for whitepapers which is possible only if a min. of 5 members rate it and their rating is above 3.5...if ur whitepaper is not availalbe in the list how come u got the ratings and hence the points for ur whitepaper...

    All your whitepapers are there uploaded. Are you talking about these whitepapers?

    the thing is i dont really know how,...but i just got the points though my uploads failed...
    but  i cant really upload any .pdf and .doc file...

    then may be there would be a techinical fault..not gtting uploaded but gettin points..did u have a thoro check of the white paper section..usually  the papers will be updated only after some time...just check it out..

    Hello Rohan

    Even I too got the same problem with my 2 uploads and my whitepaper is not there but still i got my score increased... And i searched for those papers too then too i did not get.. I think that will a database server problem.. Hope they will solve that..

    @rohan,

     i think ur using office 2007... if so, while saving ur document save as "Word 97-2003 document" n then upload... it wil work surely... reply if it works k?

    even i was having the same doubt, if he was using Office 2007 document format for his papers...but he has mentioned that he got points for his whitepapers...

    i dnt use office 2007,am using office 2002 version.....could it be a browser problem,cuz i'm using Firefox....

    bcuz i've got the points but not uploaded as yet on SR...

    this month i tried but only 1 of 3attempts were successful on IE 6,..

    yup...but initially when i did manage to upload these,it gave me that uploading error but donno how it got uploaded,which really amuses me to be honest....

    In my openion the problem might be arised due to case sensitive problem. They want *.doc or *.pdf, but you may submited *.DOC / *.PDF. Try once more with this problem to check wheather I am correct or not
