Error with SQLAzureSync Provider RRS feed

  • Question

  • On Synchronize() from SQLAzure remote to SQL Express local, it's complaining about not finding a Stored Procedure XXX_insert_multiple

Where XXX is the table name. But nowhere in the creation script do I see that it ever tried to create an "_insert_multiple" stored proc.

  • OK, more information.

It appears that if you use the SQL Azure Data Sync wizard from the SDK the "_multi" stored procs ARE created. However, if you use the SQLAzure Provider to programmatically create the script, all procs EXCEPT the _multi's are created

    So I have 2 issues:

    1. Is there an update or difference between the provider used in the wizard versus the "power pack" for November CTP?

    2. If the local = SQL and remote = Azure and my SyncDirectionOrder = Download...then why is a schema check being made on Azure in the first place? On a download only, that means I only want data to flow from the cloud to site. So there should be no check for any stored procs in the cloud..since I won't be using them for the Synchronize event.
