Money Plus for Windows 8 RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have my original software for MoneyPlus (2007). I want to put on new laptop (Windows 8) with no optical drive. How can I download Money?

  • Assuming your software is on a CD, you can buy a USB external CD/DVD reader for about $30.

Alternately, the second message in this forum provides the link to a "final" version of Money that can be downloaded from the web and installed.

  • Alternatively, assuming your software is on a retail CD, you could copy the whole disk to a folder on a USB flash drive using a computer with a CD drive. Then move that drive to your new computer, and find setup or install (I forget exactly) in the disk copy, and use that to install Money 2007.

I haven't tried this with later versions, but that used to be the answer to a problem circa 2000, if I remember correctly.
