Error 0x80073701 When trying to add AD role to server 2016 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi all,

When trying to add the AD role to server 2016 I am getting the error: 0x80073701

I am able to add DHCP  and DNS role, just not AD. I tried running SFC/ Scannow now and it finds errors but cannot repair. I also tried running the DISM repair commands without luck

I searched he CBS log for ERROR_SXS_ASSEMBLY_MISSING and it finds a particular KB missing, Package_5445_for_KB4512495

I've searched the web but cannot seem to locate it.

    thoughts or suggestions please
