    After reading here in the forum I'm wondering if backups can be burned to disk & saved. I have 3 backups, all different due to my computer crashing. Can I just burn them to a disk, then erase from my external so that I have room for a new backup?

    It would not be a practical solution to attempt to write your backups to CDs. The best solution would be to restore all of the files you want to keep from all of the backups, format your external drive, then perform a new full backup.
