CRM 2011 IFD with NLB Servers RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

We are setting up an environment with 2 CRM Servers and 1 SQL Server behind. We are using NLB to load balance the servers.

Now the customer has the need to use CRM externally so I am setting up IFD but I'm not sure how to do it.

Should the servers be using a ADFS Proxy instead of a stand alone server?

Which URL should be specified? Servername or NLB name?

    Regards

-> stand alone server, i recomended a Farm

Which URL should be specified? Servername or NLB name?

-> NLB, you need to make the certificate for each server and for NLB.

  • Hi,

I'm having same problem.  We have to do IFD (for the first time) and its on load balancer. IF any of you did it successfully, Can provide some basic installation or deployment steps how did you accomplish it? I did some research on internet and I found this

http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/gg188579. But this one doesn't provide NLB installation.
