Can response groups work for Instant messaging? At one of the clients, can we use the response groups uri to setup an im session, which will be answered by any of the free agents?

Yes If a call is picked up it changes to the user that picked up the call So in effect you are just doing a peer to peer call with all bells and wisthles that you have when doing a normal call like IM, Video and App Sharing
