unable to connect my Xp system to WHS 2011 after update. RRS feed

    I installed WHS 2011 without a problem. I even managed to get it on the right work group. [man microsoft really missed that one]

    I then installed the Computer connector software from the system onto my desk XP system. 

    it installed fine and I even did a full backup of the system. 

    then I told the system to download ll the updates. 

    after it installed the updates WHS could no longer see the desktop as online.

    I have uninstalled and re-installed the connector software but now I get the following error.  

    Any Ideas?

    It may be that whatever you did to change the workgroup name from "Workgroup" is causing the problem with the updates - there was no need to change it.

    why would you not want the WHS server to be in the correct workgroup?

    and I changed the workgroup durring the install.

    The server has ben working but lately it keeps showing all my systems ass "offline" even though they are not "offline"

    Because there is no such thing - the Workgroup name is irrelevant to the operation of WHS.
