"Store" app has blocked by kaspersky internet security 2016.

    Question

  • The operating system on my computer is Windows 10 x64.

Security software I'm using is the Kaspersky Internet Security 2016 version 16.0.0.614(b).

After run the "Store" app, it was blocked by kis 2016. Kaspersky report for me that have the "Trojan.Win32.Generic" in executable file "winstore.mobile.exe". Please see the attached photo below.

Now I cannot open the "Store" application. Seems like executables file "winstore.mobile.exe" was deleted by Kaspersky. Please see the attached photo below. And I also wonder, why have Malware name "Trojan.Win32.Generic" in file "winstore.mobile.exe" ???

Please help me to open the Windows store app on my computer. Thank you !

  • Hello,

The 'Academic Initiatives - Technical Queries' forum is for posts Related to technical / coding / programming related issues as related to Microsoft's Academic Initiatives.

As it's off-topic here, I am moving the question to the Where is the forum for... forum.

  • Hello,

I'd ask in the Windows 10 forum on Microsoft Community, or in the Virus and Malware forum on Microsoft Community.

As the Microsoft Community is on a different platform, we cannot move the question for you.

Once there, click on Participate near the top of the screen, and select 'Ask a Question' or 'Start a Discussion'

  • I'd try contacting the app developer, or possibly Kaspersky. You can also ask about store apps over here.

  • I had asked about the apps store over here: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_10-windows_store/store-app-has-blocked-by-kaspersky-internet/a3d4e46e-72e2-4a89-ba63-54c35d75e6e0?auth=1

But I did not get a satisfactory answer from the apps store. Now my computer cannot boot application "Store", so I'm still trying to patiently wait for help.

In the past, my computer also encountered a similar situation. Apps in store (as Photos, Mail, Calendar...) blocked and deleted by Kaspersky.

At that time, I also can not launch apps. Because not to be found handling plans so I decided to install the operating system back again.

I think that there are problems in security the file in application of microsoft store.

This is "Where Is" forum for direction on where best to get help with issues. I'd try the steps outlined on the Kaspersky site first or possibly uninstall it to see if issue is resolved. You could also ask over here.

    https://usa.kaspersky.com/support/

or if still Windows issue persists with Kaspersky product removed I'd ask over here about Windows repair options.

You'll need to completely remove Kaspersky. If the issue continues then you can ask here about repairing the operating system.

    http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_10-update?

Once the operating system has been repaired and stable then you can try Kaspersky again.
