Hi all,
I'm currently migrating from CRM 2011 to CRM 2015. But because it's not possible to directly migrate an organization from CRM 2011 to CRM 2015 I tried to install CRM 2013.
I first ran the installation on a Windows Server 2012 R2 Standard with a SQL 2012 all on the same server. During installation of the new default organization I ran into this error:
Action Microsoft.Crm.Tools.Admin.SetTokenKeyAction failed. Name translation: Generic processing error. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80072115)
I tried googling the error to determine whether I could ignore this or that I had to fix this. I couldn't find anything about this error so I tried to ignore the message and continue
the installation. I figured I didn't need the organization anyway. A few steps later the installation ran into some other problems, at that point I could only abort the installation.
The installation seemed successful, I could open the deployment administrator and I could see the failed organization. I removed it and tried to install the report extensions so I could import the organization I want to migrate. During installation of the
report extensions I ran into this error during system check:
Name translation: Generic processing error. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80072115)
I was not able to resolve the error so I tried reinstalling CRM, this resulted in the same errors. After this I tried reinstalling the entire server, this time I set it up with Server 2008 R2 and SQL 2008, this also resulted in the same errors. In both cases
SSRS was working, I could access it and add folders and reports. I tried giving the involved service users administrator privileges, this didn't work either.
At this point I tried everything I can think of, is there anyone who ran into the same problems and knows a way to resolve them? Or is there anyone who knows of a different way to migrate an organization from CRM 2011 to CRM 2015?
