Unable to open EXCEL or WORD documents RRS feed

  • Question

  • I recently purchased a new HP Pavilion Desktop with Vista Home Premium OS.

Now I can't open any messages received that contain EXCEL or WORD attachments.

How can I get VISTA to recognize any Office documents?  Is there some conversion program I need to download?

I have Office 2000 Professional software and I tried to load it but it's "not compatible".

  • Visit your favorite store that sells genuine Microsoft software and purchase an edition of Microsoft Office 2007.  Bring the package home and install Microsoft Office 2007 on your HP computer and then you'll be able to open, and work with, Excel and Word documents.
