Support User Security Role RRS feed

  • Good day!

    According to the CRM documentation, list of security roles should include "Support user" role. 

    But in our security roles list we don’t have it.

    Where I can find full description of this role, using scheme of all levels of access to the information in crm.

     I’ll be thankful you too much for such information!

    I am not certain there's a CRM out-of-the-box role called "Support User" (in CRM 2013 atleast), but if you wish to see the permissions that a particular security role has, you can navigate to it from Open CRM > Settings > Administration > Security Roles; open up the security role you want to view details of. You'll be presented with a screen as follows, where you can see them:

    But I mean, that by default we have list of security roles, such as described here: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/gg334717.aspx#bkmk_list 

    In this list we see "Support User" role. But when I open my CRM > Settings > Administration > Security Roles - in my list I have all of roles, which described on the link, except "Support user". That's why I'm looking for this role, because it's already includes permissions which I need for my IT specialists.

  • Hi,

    I just checked, the "Support User" role doesn't exist for me as well! And it's a fresh CRM Organization. Maybe Microsoft would be able to best explain it.
